An "awww..." moment for me
After the training, I got to talk with one of the participants. She is Rosita Abon, married, has 4 kids, works as a laborer in a farm land and acts as president of the Rural Improvement Club in their barangay. I forgot to take a picture of her wide and beautiful smile when I asked her how the training will help her. She said that she is excited to get home and ask for her neighbor's excess coconut fruit so she can make her own coconut jam for her children. It is one of their favorites according to her. She also enjoyed doing the coconut candy because it is easy to do and easy to sell.
For her the best part of the training is knowing about the right measurements of each ingredient. She said that she has tried to make jams before but not as tasty as what she made during the training. She also was happy that she was able to share this moment of learning with her friends in the club.
It was an "awwww....." moment for me :)
