Scholarships are Development Tools
Education is the flagship initiative of Australia’s development cooperation program with the Philippines. Through local and international scholarship programs, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, through PAHRODF, helps nurture Filipino talents; making organisational change more effective and sustainable.
Australia Awards
The Australia Awards Scholarships are highly-competitive and offered to Filipinos who have the potential to assume leadership roles to influence social and economic policy reforms, and drive development in the Philippines and the Asia Pacific region.
In-Country Scholarship Program
The In-Country Scholarship Program (ICSP) launched its pilot scholarship offering in June 2012. Through the initiative and generous support of the Australian government, 99 postgraduate scholarship grants were awarded to targeted professionals based in Mindanao, especially in conflict and post-conflict affected areas.
