Melchor Carandang is the Overall Deputy Ombudsman and Acting Special Prosecutor of the Office of the Ombudsman. At the same time, he takes the helm as the Investment Ombudsman of the budding Investment Ombudsman Team to improve the country’s business climate by protecting investors against erring and abusive public officials. Hon. Carandang received a scholarship grant from the Australian government to take up Master of Laws at the University of New South Wales.
